The Mr Soot team is delighted to announce the appointment of our new Office Manager.
Sam, who is married with two daughters, has a wealth of experience in working in and running busy offices.
Originally from Buckinghamshire, Sam moved to the North West over 20 years ago.
She is a full member of the Association of Accounting Technicians, and will be overseeing our bookings, administration and finance teams.
“I’m over the moon to be joining Mr Soot Chimney Sweep,” said Sam.
“I’ve always loved working with people who are passionate, honest and have absolute integrity. It’s clear everyone at Mr Soot has these values in abundance.
“Everyone is so friendly and I’ve been made to feel really welcome.
“The growth plans for Mr Soot are really exciting. There’s a buzz among everyone and the future is looking very positive. I can’t wait to play my part in it.”
Company founder David said: “We are thrilled to welcome Sam at this important time for Mr Soot Chimney Sweep.
“Demand for our services is growing across all areas. Sam’s skills, advice and sound judgement are exactly what we need to help us reach the next level.
“Along with the appointment of Peter, our new, fully registered Guild chimney sweep, we are building a brilliant team which will continue providing a first class service to customers both old and new.”
Mr Soot Chimney Sweep was founded by David as originally a one-person, part-time sweeping round.
His intention from the outset was to deliver a prompt, professional and friendly service, with a real emphasis on excellent communication, timekeeping and reliability.
Having attained Master Chimney Sweep status, he became an officially qualified chimney sweep, a HETAS Approved Sweep and an OFTEC registered solid fuel installer.
His regular blog articles and advice videos draw in viewings from right across the globe.
He is also the co-founder of Burnright, a grassroots campaign to help educate people on the need to burn in a responsible way.
The campaign is backed by DEFRA, who namechecked it in the Government’s Clean Air Strategy. He also appeared on BBC Radio 2’s Jeremy Vine show to talk about how sweeps can play a crucial role in improving air quality
“After many years of the Mary Poppins stereotypes, people are beginning to understand the importance of chimney sweeping and inspections,” continued David.
“They recognise it’s a serious business and need someone like us who can offer that certain level of service.
“I’m really proud of what we are creating with Mr Soot Chimney Sweep.
“Customers know that, when they book us, they are getting the sort of all-round professional service we would want if we were in their shoes.
“We are always exploring new avenues and opportunities to strengthen the Mr Soot brand.
“As such, we look forward to making further announcements soon.”
