Your Local Chimney Sweep for Didsbury, Chorlton & Withington
With our office right on Burton Road, Mr Soot Chimney Sweep is perfectly placed to serve Didsbury, Chorlton, Withington, Levenshulme, Whalley Range, Ladybarn and the whole of South Manchester.
Many of our customers across M19, M20 and M21 are new to the area and want to bring an old fireplace back to life, or get to grips with the log burner they've inherited from the previous owner. Whether you're in a Chorlton terrace, a Didsbury semi, or a Withington conversion flat, our HETAS technicians have the experience to help you take the first steps towards a working, safe real fire.
Chimney Health Checks Before You Light Up
Before using an old chimney “as is," it's essential to check it's actually fit for purpose. Our state-of-the-art equipment lets us go beyond a standard sweep — including internal CCTV inspections and full-scale leakage tests — so we can give your chimney a proper health check and tell you exactly what condition it's in before you strike a match.
This is especially common in the older housing stock around Didsbury and Chorlton, where period fireplaces are often reopened after years of disuse.
Built Around Busy Manchester Lives
We know many of our customers in Chorlton, Didsbury and Withington are juggling busy schedules, so we've built our service around fitting into your day rather than the other way round:
- Phone line staffed 8.30am–5.30pm, Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays)
- 24/7 online booking system — a firm favourite with our Manchester customers
- SMS “on our way" alerts and appointment reminders for anyone who gives us an email and mobile number (subject to network coverage)
- Card and Apple Pay accepted on every job — no need to have cash ready, as all our technicians carry mobile card machines
