Course Duration: Four days in classroom (optional ‘on the job’ work experience days available as above)

Pre-requisites: None – no experience is necessary
Next steps: Successful candidates can join the HETAS Sweep and Servicing Scheme, following an inspection. Those who, at a later date, wish to convert to solid fuel installation work will be able to undertake the H003 and H006 installer courses.
Optional Extra Practical Training Days
As well as the Training Centre-based H011 course, Mr Soot also offers candidates the chance to add optional ‘on the job’ training days. This will involve shadowing Mr Soot Sweep Technicians as they undertake appointments across the North West.
Mr Soot is one of the fastest growing chimney sweeping, inspecting and testing companies in the UK. Started by our owner David, it now employs staff and has expanded across the North West of England.
Dates for shadowing days are flexible and will be agreed with candidates separately. They will not take place during the centre-based training. Shadowing days do not form a mandatory part of the HETAS training criteria of any of the courses, so are entirely optional.
