Practical Sweep Shadowing Days (H011 Candidates Only)

On a practical sweep shadowing day you will gain first-hand experience of:

  • Seeing trained and approved sweeps undertaking live appointments in customers’ homes
  • Appropriate equipment selection
  • Inspection and interpretation of findings from the sweeping process
  • Customer interaction, including questions and advice
  • Appointment scheduling, timing and other factors which may impact on your working day

Mr Soot offers H011 candidates the chance to add optional ‘on the job’ training days. This will involve shadowing Mr Soot Sweep Technicians as they undertake appointments across the North West.

Mr Soot is one of the fastest growing chimney sweeping, inspecting and testing companies in the UK. Started by our owner David, it now employs staff and has expanded across the North West of England.
 
Dates for shadowing days are flexible and will be agreed with H011 candidates separately.
They will not take place during the centre-based training and do not form a mandatory part of the HETAS training criteria of any of the courses.
