Mr Soot Chimney Sweep has named its very own company Environmental Sustainability Champion.

Office manager Sam will lead and monitor the new Mr Soot Green Pledge, which set out ways the company is doing its bit for the environment.

The initiative, launched to coincide with Clean Air Day 2023, includes commitments to minimising waste, using environmentally friendly alternatives where possible and educating customers on how to use their appliances in a responsible way.

Sam said: “At Mr Soot Chimney Sweep, we take our responsibilities to the environment as a whole very seriously.

“Chimney sweeps are uniquely positioned to affect positive change, especially with air quality being high on the national and international agenda.

“We are 100% committed to doing all we can as a company to reduce our environmental impact. We’ve already put a number of positive practices into place and we hope to continue pushing ahead with more initiatives.”

Mr Soot owner David said: “I’m delighted Sam has agreed to lead our company’s drive towards greater sustainability.

“As the person who oversees our systems, procedures and purchasing, she is very well placed to scrutinise all aspects of Mr Soot’s operations for greater efficiency and minimal environmental impact.

“We feel that any business – regardless of size – can play its part to ensuring our planet is cared for and nurtured.“
