How we managed to secure nationwide publicity you really just couldn’t buy!

It’s probably the last place you’d expect to find any chimney sweep, let alone your very own Mr Soot.

But recently our owner David was a ‘cover star’ on the legendary satire quiz Have I Got News For You!

David explains: “HIGNFY is one of my all time favourite shows, so to see myself on it was a bit strange to say the least.

“It came about as, a few months ago, I wrote an article for the Guild of Master Chimney Sweep’s magazine, Sweep Stuff.

“Fast forward a few weeks and it seems the HIGNFY production team picked up a copy, had a rummage through it and decided it would be great to feature it in the Missing Words Round.

“The photo on the front was actually a selfie I took while shadowing one of London’s oldest chimney firms, H Firkins, last summer.

“It’s amazing how many customers saw it, and messaged me to say: ‘Was that actually you?’

“It was great to get some national coverage, particularly as we are now starting to grow as a company with nationwide contracts. It’s publicity you really couldn’t buy!”
