Our founder David was delighted to welcome Byron Schramm to the North West of England.

Byron, of Midtown Chimney Sweeps in Denver, Colorado, accompanied David as he swept chimneys in Liverpool – home of The Beatles.

Byron said: “I was honoured to learn how to sweep chimneys the traditional British way by a qualified, master sweep like David.

”It was fascinating to see how it is done in England, and there were plenty of great tips for me to take back to the States.”

David, who teaches chimney sweeping and stove installing at Mr Soot’s very own HETAS approved training centre in Wigan, said: “Byron did exceptionally well, especially on some of the more trickier flues we encountered.

”He even got a generous tip from one of our regular customers! All in all, it was a great day and very humbling that we have people who travel thousands of miles to train with Mr Soot.”
