Trade Entrepreneur – the podcast launched by Mr Soot owner David – welcomes its first guest this week.

Bethan Richards, of Calon Lan chimney sweep in West Wales, joins David to discuss how she started out in the business, as well as the important topic of mental health.

Guild sweep Beth knows first-hand the impact mental health issues can have on individuals and communities. As part of her work, she meets isolated and vulnerable customers regularly.

David said: “I was delighted to welcome Beth to Trade Entrepreneur to discuss this extremely important topic.

“The great thing about Beth is she’s entirely open and honest about her own mental health issues in the past, and is passionate about raising awareness of the challenges.

“We’re both of the belief that mental health issues need to be discussed more, particularly among trades, as it is a real, but often hidden, issue.

“People who work alone are more susceptible to it, because it can be a very lonely job. So it’s vital anyone who needs support reaches out for it.

“Beth gives some very important advice and it’s well worth tuning into this week’s episode.”
