Job Title: Chimney Sweep Technician

Responsibilities: Making sure customers’ flues and appliances are swept and serviced to high standard.

Qualifications: Fully approved and registered with the Guild of Master Chimney Sweeps, as well as being a HETAS-Approved Chimney Sweep.

Favourite stove: My Clearview Pioneer 400. Brilliant air controls on them.

Most hated stove: Mendip Churchill. Fiddly and over engineered

Favourite piece of equipment: My Viper sweeping system. It’s really efficient but also effective.

Favourite holiday destination to date: Australia and New Zealand

Best part of my job: Solving a problem for a customer. That is immensely satisfying

Worst part of my job: Trying to get into stoves that haven’t been serviced for years. Get them swept and serviced annually folks.

Stoves or open fires? Stoves, without a doubt. Although sweeping open fires can be much easier!

Coal or wood? Wood – preferably free, as I like to split and season it myself.

Tea or coffee? Either, depending on the time of day
