Mr Soot is unveiling a suite of courses aimed at tradespeople who want to grow their businesses.

Starting in January 2024,  Mr Soot Training Centre will be delivering one day masterclasses covering subjects such as business, marketing, recruitment, finance and leadership.

And in an industry first, Mr Soot owner David will be hosting a marketing masterclass for those in the solid fuel industry, such as sweeps and installers.

David said: “Many in trades see professionalism merely as being good at being ‘on the tools’. In some circles, this is seen as the most important bit.

“As a result, many neglect the business side of things, and run into issues, whether that’s time management, customer relations or simply not knowing how to structure their business going forward.

“Our courses aim to equip entrepreneurially-minded tradespeople and small business owners with the skills they need to take their enterprises forward.

“We’re covering a whole host of topics, such as marketing, recruitment, finance and leadership.

“For my own industry, I’m particularly delighted we’ve devised a marketing course for sweeps and installers. This is something I’ve not seen delivered elsewhere, so it’s great that, once again, Mr Soot is leading the way in helping professionalise the industry.

“Along with our HETAS approved training centre, we’re aiming to be a real hub for forward-thinking professionals who recognise the need for continual professional development both ‘on the tools’ as well as off.”
